“I work with hair. I started by cutting my own hair in my bathroom in my teens. That evolved to cutting hair for friends and teachers through high school and college. After graduating college with a business degree I decided to back to school for cosmetology without knowing much about the options in front of me, only that it excited me.

Since then I have spent 15 years creating within hair. Starting my career in St. Louis, MO behind the chair, I moved to New York 12 years ago to explore. I’ve created and facilitated fundamental and advanced cutting curriculums, conducted workshops and presentations across the country and around the world in numerous countries sharing my experiences in the craft with gratitude. I’ve spent over 8 years working in the lanes of fashion, celebrity, commercial, and editorial, picking up different perspectives and finding new ways of working with this material of hair.

Currently based in Brooklyn, NY I work as Creative Director of Rob Peetoom Salon, freelance for photo shoots, work with celebrity clientele, and give back what I have through my workshops.

My world of work is like an ecosystem, one feeding another with each having their own role that I enjoy playing a part in. “
